Hi, I’m Rob.

Salamander Studios started off as my hobby a few years ago and as I look toward retirement from my day job, it’s something I want to do more and more of. I started off making things for people I love but their houses are all full now…so I decided to branch out and sell my projects.

I love making things and figuring out the best way to do something. After experimenting with lots of different materials, my favourite mediums to work with are now wood and stained glass.

In what feels like a lifetime ago, I trained as an Art teacher before moving into the corporate world for the last 50(ish) years. It’s really nice to get back into an artistic mentality and just have fun seeing what I can create.
